These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Halo Home, including the web application, Android application, desktop helper, local bridge software, websites, and related services that link to these Terms (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is provided by Halo Media Solutions Inc. ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a binding agreement under applicable law to use the Service. If you use the Service for an organization, household, business, property, or other group, you represent that you have authority to bind that party and to configure cameras, devices, networks, accounts, and storage resources used with the Service.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, devices, camera credentials, and local bridge access. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account or through systems you configure.

2. Service description

Halo Home provides camera dashboard, live view, setup, local bridge, recording, review, notification, and related monitoring tools. The Service may interact with cameras, local networks, cloud storage, mobile devices, desktop helpers, third-party providers, and app store services. Features may vary by platform, plan, camera model, network, location, and configuration.

3. No emergency or professional monitoring service

The Service is not a 911, emergency response, life-safety, fire, medical, law-enforcement, or professional security monitoring service. You should not rely on the Service as your only means of protecting people, property, pets, or assets. Notifications, recordings, detections, streams, and alerts may be delayed, inaccurate, interrupted, or unavailable.

4. Camera use, consent, and legal compliance

You are solely responsible for how you install, aim, configure, record, monitor, and use cameras connected to the Service. You agree to comply with all applicable privacy, surveillance, recording, consent, employment, tenant, consumer protection, data protection, and other laws that apply to your use of cameras and recordings.

• Do not use the Service to monitor places where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy.
• Do not record audio, video, or personal information unless you have the required rights, notices, and consents.
• Do not use the Service for stalking, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or unlawful surveillance.
• Do not connect cameras, accounts, networks, or storage resources that you do not own or have permission to use.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. Prohibited conduct includes:

• Attempting to bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits, or security controls.
• Interfering with, disrupting, overloading, probing, scanning, or attacking the Service or related systems.
• Reverse engineering, scraping, or extracting the Service except where allowed by law.
• Uploading, transmitting, or storing unlawful, harmful, infringing, or abusive content.
• Using the Service to violate the rights, privacy, safety, or property of others.

6. Your content and camera data

As between you and Halo Media Solutions Inc., you retain your rights in camera feeds, recordings, images, setup data, labels, configuration, and other content you provide or generate through your use of the Service ("User Content"). You grant us a limited license to process User Content as needed to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service, comply with law, and enforce these Terms.

You represent that you have all rights, permissions, and consents needed for your User Content and for the camera, recording, monitoring, notification, detection, and sharing activities you enable.

7. Third-party services and integrations

The Service may depend on or link to third-party products and services, including camera manufacturers, app stores, cloud providers, authentication providers, payment processors, push notification services, and network services. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their acts, omissions, outages, policies, pricing, security, or data practices. Your use of third-party services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.

8. Software, updates, and platform rules

We may provide mobile apps, desktop helpers, local bridge software, updates, patches, or configuration changes. You agree that updates may be required for security, compatibility, or continued access to the Service. App store rules, device operating systems, browser limitations, and camera provider changes may affect availability or functionality.

9. Plans, billing, and purchases

If we offer paid plans, subscriptions, app store purchases, or usage-based features, prices, billing cycles, included usage, limits, and renewal terms will be disclosed at purchase or in the applicable store flow. Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled through the applicable billing provider or app store. Except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise, payments are non-refundable.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, software, design, trademarks, logos, documentation, and other materials we provide are owned byHalo Media Solutions Inc. or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, household, or internal business purposes.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information. By using the Service, you acknowledge our privacy practices.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, remove content, disable features, or take other reasonable action if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, misused the Service, failed to pay applicable fees, or if action is needed for security, legal, operational, or policy reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time.

13. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, accurate, compatible with every camera or device, or suitable for any particular security, surveillance, safety, evidentiary, or business purpose.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Halo Media Solutions Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, recordings, goodwill, property, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Halo Media Solutions Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and suppliers from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your User Content, your cameras or connected devices, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

16. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Courts located in Ontario, Canada will have jurisdiction except where applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.
